Babich Marlborough Pinot Gris 2022 750ml

This rich, full-bodied Pinot Gris combines the best of the fruit-forward style of Alsace in France, with the crisp, dry style of Italian Pinot Grigio. The result is a stunning wine delivering juicy stone-fruit, apple and spice flavours. The wine has a soft finish – medium dry in style – courtesy of partially barreling fermented, and not only is it widely considered one of the best New Zealand Pinot Gris produced in recent years, but it’s also vegan-friendly.

Nashi pear and biscuit aromas with ginger, peach, wet slate and floral notes. Medium weighted and creamy entry loaded with fresh fruits particularly pear, melon and stone fruits. Ginger again and some white pepper spice. The finish is lingering and complex. Bright and juicy.

This Marlborough Pinot Gris works well with snapper fillets, rolled in fresh breadcrumbs and shallow fried, or with hot baked ham and glazed kumara.
